You don't really want to know the guy, but his radio is certainly interesting: a JRC NRD-525 with Datong FL-3 audio filter on top. Before getting my hands on this fine piece of equipment there were various Philips receivers - some going back to preWW-II - an ICOM R70, Drake R7A and a Kenwood R5000

Of course, I still have my trusty Panasonic RF-B65L, and I bought a Sangean ATS-909 for DXpeditions like the one to Bali in October 1998.

The current antenna farm consists of 30 meters random wire and a 17 meter T2FD both on the roof of a six storey building in suburbian Taipei. Antenna tuners and attenuators are home made.

So you still want to see me? I'll show you my first receiver. Cool, huh? Now you know when and where I got the radio bug. The big guy is my father, the little one me. This photo must have been taken in 1967, the year I was put on this world. Of course a Philips receiver and my father - who was a Philips man - is pretty much sure that it bore the type number B0X17U. Ever since this photograph was taken the radio bug has been in my blood.
I collect radio clipart - not scanned ones of ham radio - but rather pictures like the ones you see here. If you have any, please mail them to me. Thanks a bunch.
I currently live in Taiwan where I make the streets unsafe by riding a motorcycle (it actually is scooter, but who cares?). Take a look, there might be a better picture of me there....
