R7A RECEIVER
What a fine piece of equipment it was - and still is. The R7A is a very quiet receiver with very little background noise, razor sharp filters and very smooth pass-band tuning. I had mine modified, so the band switch skipped between broadcast bands and not amateur bands. Still a receiver designed for amateur use and when I became interested in utility DXing I sold if off and bought a Kenwood R5000. The R7A I had is still in use, more than 15 years after it was made.
