Foreword

Every DXer has at least once heard a program in Chinese and marvelled about the strange, exotic language. With help of the World Radio TV Handbook we sometimes can get a station-identification, but what is the programme about and how to get enough information to make a reception report?

After having lived in China and Taiwan for more than six years I consider myself such an expert (me is very humble!) that in the following pages I like to explain something about the construction of Chinese and give you some tips, so that when next time you listen to a Chinese broadcast, you might get something more out of it.

And with that wish there is only this more to say:
"Now this is what I call 'Fun with Chinese!' "
