| This is a photo of the Taiwan Broadcasting Corporation's aerial mast next to the Hsin Tian river (wrote it wrong on the photo) on the edge of Taipei City. Two 10 kW transmitters feed in this mast, but the engineer told me actual power is only 9 kW per transmitter. Frequencies are 1188 kHz and 1323 kHz. | ![]() |

This is a picture of the BCC station behind the Chung Hua Telecom building in the heart of Panchiao, a suburb of Taipei City, housing the transmitters of the BCC on 657 and 747 (ex-1458) kHz. The long antenna in the back is probably the one on 657 kHz (20 kW) broadcasting the news network program, the shorter one 747 kHz (10 kW) with the Hakka program. This station can't be more than 2 miles away from where I live, so both transmitters have a big influence on my medium wave reception. Could've been worse had I lived next to these babies as the people in the apartment block in the back do :-) |
